 Low Impact Development LID

SAFE is committed to implementing Low Impact Development and integrating the LID technology into our sustainable systems

SAFE is aware of the omnipresent need for a practical and sustainable approach to water management rapidly becoming a priority in all future commercial and non commercial development. Global economic growth and population pressures are driving water usage to unprecedented levels. Simply look at the recent droughts in the southeastern states. They have accentuated the necessity to implement effective water conservation and stormwater management programs. The integrated SAFE technologies are designed to capture, treat, harvest, and reuse rainwater that would otherwise have been lost. Our application of sustainable approach to stormwater management addresses environmental health, efficient land use, and return on investment when compared to traditional stormwater management plans. Implementation of SAFE stormwater and conservation technologies help assist our client to exceed current environmental standards in conjunction with applicable LEED credits.

General biodiversity trends on agricultural land is negative despite agricultural policies being increasingly geared towards biodiversity conservation. As stewards of this earth we face a wide-ranging set of problems in all oceans, inland waters and coastal environments. They include and not limited to over-fishing, eutrophication (agricultural run-offs), pollution, oil spills and regular discharges from vessels, population densities and ecosystem collapses.
